Purchase Agreement

Starry Night Farm LLC owner of Bella Luna Gatte agrees to the following:

1.      Both Parents are Purebred TICA Registered Cats in Good Health with Health Cleared through Basepaws DNA test.

2.      Our kittens will be seen by our veterinarian (Brainerd Animal Hospital) with a full evaluation and a clean bill of health before going to new homes. They will be given all applicable vaccinations and treatment. Our kittens will be spayed or neutered before going to their new homes unless we agreed to sell a kitten with breeding rights.

3.      While our cats and kittens are in good health under our care, I cannot make a guarantee for their health after they leave our home. They will be clear of genetic defect, but due to the variables outside of our control, due to how you chose to raise them, their health is your responsibility. We will offer a 72-hour health guarantee. If you feel like something is wrong with your new kitten you will need to take him or her to the veterinarian of your choice at your expense for evaluation. IF something is found to be wrong like a medically deficient, untreatable or life-threating problem in that first 72 hours you will need to provide us prompt notification with a detailed report from the veterinarian. We will then discuss our options with you going forward. Possible refund or replacement depending on the issue at hand.

4.      We will supply you with one bag of Purina Pro Plan Kitten Food. This is what we feed our cats and recommend. If you choose to use a different brand going forward then we recommend that you mix the food we give you with your food of choice to help wean them over.

5.      We will supply one container of Cat Litter. We use Master Paws Brand from Menards (A basic unscented litter). The kittens are raised using this type of litter and will transition best in their new home by starting with this. I would suggest a slow introduction to a new type of litter by adding small amounts of the litter of your choice going forward.

6.      Our kittens have been raised in our home by both their parents. They have also been around our other cats and dogs. The have been well loved and socialized by us and our kids.

7.      They will be used to other cats, dogs, and kids – I cannot make any guarantees about how other cats, dogs and kids will do with them. Please be cautious when introducing other kids and animals to the kittens. Do not leave them unsupervised until you know how they get along.

Buyer Agrees to:

1.      Deposit is non-refundable. Refund will only be available if the kitten ends up being not suitable for sale.

2.      All sales are final and no refunds will be provided unless the cat is deemed unfit by a licensed veterinary within 72 hours after purchase.

3.      This kitten is being purchased as a pet and will be provided a loving forever home with you. Buyer agrees to a life long commitment to the kitten. If due to unforeseen, unexpected reasons that you can no longer care for the kitten, the kitten will be returned to Rhea Schmitt: Owner of Bella Luna Gatte.

4.      This kitten is not to be given away to anyone else Family, Friend, strangers, Animal Shelter, etc. without the consent of Rhea Schmitt: Owner of Bella Luna Gatte.

5.      This kitten is sold as a pet only! This kitten will not be used for scientific experiments.

6.      The kitten will not be declawed. We recommend weekly nail clippings and a scratching post to keep their claws under control.

7.      The kitten will be kept indoors or in an enclosed “catio” only.

Exception for outside adventures on a leash and harness.

8.      Buyer understands that the proper feeding of the kitten will cost more than the average cat. The kitten will be given a high-quality cat food over the course of its life to help ensure good health of the kitten. (Examples would be Purina Pro Plan, Hills Science Diet or Royal Canin.)

9.      Buyer understands how to properly care for and provide a good home for the kitten. Buyer will read the articles I’ve linked below for more knowledge about raising cats.

10.  Buyer will provide yearly check ups with their licensed veterinarian of choice. The buyer also agrees to provide prompt veterinary care for any issues that arise.

11.  Buyer will reach out to us if they having any questions or concerns going forward. We care about our kittens very much and will always try make ourselves available during reasonable daytime hours to help out! Generally, between 8am and 8pm we strive to be available through messages or phone call.

12.  If this agreement breached in anyway Fines or Legal action may be pursued. Ultimately our concern is the well being and care of this kitten. It is a living animal that deserves a stable, loving home and will be well cared for. I take this very seriously and expect the new owner to do the same.
